Our Story
About Buffalo Rail
A rail infrastructure investment company building the logistics backbone of Western Canada.
Who We Are
Building world-class rail infrastructure for Western Canada
Buffalo Rail & Infrastructure Corp. is a rail infrastructure investment company focused on the design, construction, operation, and modernization of rail terminals and industrial logistics hubs across Western Canada.
Established as a sister company to Torq Energy Logistics, Buffalo Rail brings together decades of Western Canadian logistics expertise with a focused mandate: to design, build, operate, and modernize rail terminals and industrial logistics hubs that serve the evolving needs of Canada's resource economy.
Our flagship project — the Taylor, BC Industrial Hub — is a 350-acre former pulp mill site being transformed into a world-scale, unit-train-capable logistics facility. Strategically located on the CN Rail mainline in the heart of northeast British Columbia's energy corridor, Taylor represents the kind of ambitious, long-term infrastructure investment that defines Buffalo Rail.

Our Approach
Full lifecycle infrastructure from concept to operation
Buffalo Rail is not just a construction company or a terminal operator — we are a full lifecycle infrastructure company. We take projects from initial concept and design through construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations. This integrated approach gives us unique insight into what makes rail infrastructure work efficiently and safely over the long term.
Our services value chain — Design, Build, Operate, Repurpose, and Modernize — reflect this end-to-end capability. Whether we are developing a greenfield site, converting a brownfield property, or upgrading an existing facility, we bring the same commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
